The Challenge

The Tenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF 10) was held in February 2020 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the first time an Arab nation hosted the world's premier conference on sustainable cities and human settlements. The agency's mission was to generate global awareness, stimulate interest in attracting international exhibitors, delegates, and worldwide media.

The Solution

1. Carried out a year-long communications campaign alongside Abu Dhabi's Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) and UN-Habitat.
2. Developed an integrated campaign to maximize awareness and engage international stakeholders.
3. Spearheaded the organization and communications of the Pan-Arab Urban Development Symposium (PAUDS), profiled as a pivotal international communication platform.
4. Managed the global media office, handling credentials and interviews for local, regional, and top-tier global press.

The Results & Impact

Over 15,000 attendees from across the globe took part in WUF 10. More than 700 high-impact news articles were published internationally per year, complemented by live broadcast operations from an on-site Abu Dhabi TV studio, showcasing Abu Dhabi's leadership on urban sustainability.
